In response to the request to help minimize the spread of COVID-19, Home of the Sparrow is fully equipped to answer any questions you may have. Additionally, we have postponed all events that were scheduled for April and May to the fall.

The Annual Hope for Homeless Benefit is now scheduled for Friday, October 2, 2020 and the Celebration of Women Luncheon will now be Friday, August 28, 2020. Please see our events drop down menu for more details.

If you have any questions about services, we have staff available to answer calls. Our shelter is currently not accepting any new clients at this time. Other services may be available. Please call us at 815-271-5444 for more information.

Our eight Sparrow’s Nest Thrift Stores are currently closed and are not accepting or picking up any donations until further notice. We ask that you do not leave any donations at the stores while they are closed.

We will continue to monitor developments and update you on our plans to re-open our facilities as they progress.
