Happy New Year from Home of the Sparrow! As we reflect on the past year, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our generous donors, amazing volunteers, and dedicated staff for your passion and commitment to our organization.

With your support, we impacted the lives of over 2800 women and children in our community, including serving 451 women and children in our shelter, with 65% of ourshelter residents children. We are proud of the fact that 97% of our clients successfully obtained permanent housing.

We are grateful to our caring donors who gave generously to support our mission. Through monetary donations, our Holiday Gift Program and Giving Trees, shelter wish list drives, and donations to our Sparrow’s Nest Thrift Stores and Community Threads Thrift Store, your support was critical to our success. Many thanks also to the 1056 individual and group volunteers who gave generously of their time by volunteering over 56,000 hours to Home of the Sparrow! Together, we really made a difference!

As we enter 2019, we look forward to continuing to respond to the needs of our community by providing a safe shelter, affordable housing, rapid rehousing, outreach and prevention, case management, counseling, job coaching, educational programs and supportive services that help homeless women and children get back on their feet and become self-sufficient.
