Home of the Sparrow Hosts 2026 Celebration of Women Luncheon to Honor Local Changemakers and Support Families in Need

Lake in the Hills, IL (Jan 2026) — Home of the Sparrow is proud to announce the 2026 Celebration of Women Luncheon, taking place on Friday, March 6th, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Boulder Ridge Country Club in Lake in the Hills (350 Boulder Dr). This inspiring event brings together community members, business leaders, and advocates for an afternoon of recognition, reflection, and raising awareness for the homelessness crisis in Northern Illinois.

Guests will enjoy a delicious luncheon, raffles, awards, and opportunities to connect with others passionate about empowerment and community impact. Funds raised during the event will directly support Home of the Sparrow’s mission to provide shelter, housing, and supportive services to women and families facing homelessness.

A highlight of the afternoon will be the Third Annual Spirit of the Sparrow Awards, honoring our remarkable supporters, dedicated volunteers, and outstanding organizations whose work embodies compassion and leadership. These honorees exemplify the spirit of resilience and generosity that strengthens our community.

Home of the Sparrow provides a Transitional Shelter, Housing Programs, Rental Assistance, Outreach, and Case Management services to homeless women and children and operates seven resale stores in Northern Illinois. Revenue from the stores goes back into supporting Home of the Sparrow’s goal to provide Hope, Opportunity, and Support that empowers homeless women and children as they journey from homelessness to self-sufficiency.
