A new day center for people experiencing homelessness has opened in Woodstock. It is located at the

old Woodstock Firehouse at the corner of Throop and South Streets. The site will be open on

Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Guests may take a shower, have a snack or meal, stay dry and warm.

Area social service agencies, including Home of the Sparrow, will be on hand at select times to assist

guests with information about housing and other supports and services for which they may qualify.
