Happy #ThankfulThursday! Thank you to the Crystal Lake Lions Club for their generous donation to Home of the Sparrow! Presenting the $1,000 check to our Executive Director, Matt Kostecki are Lion Club members, pictured left to right, Dave Moore, Anita Wingfield, Ashley Funk, and Doug Lomen.

The Crystal Lake Lions Club is a wonderful group, with 53 members who have fun together while embracing their motto, “We Serve”. They are part of a worldwide organization called Lions Club International. The club holds several fundraisers each year including Candy Days, Fall Raffle, Winter Steak Fry, Shop with a Cop, and an annual Golf Outing. They also conduct Vision and Hearing screenings, Used Eyeglass Collections, Used Hearing Aids Collections, and a Sight and Sound Sweepstakes. Proceeds from their fundraisers benefit many local and national individuals and charities. Home of the Sparrow is very grateful to the Crystal Lake Lions Club for their support during this very difficult time. Together, we can continue to change the lives of homeless women and children in our community.
