All proceeds from this event benefit Home of the Sparrow, a local non-profit organization serving homeless women and children in McHenry County and Northern Illinois. Home of the Sparrow’s mission is to provide Hope, Opportunity and Support that empowers women and children as they journey from homelessness to self-sufficiency. My Sister’s Dress is still accepting donations of new and gently used dresses, shoes and accessories through Wednesday, March 5th at the following local businesses during their business hours: Sage YMCA in Crystal Lake, all seven Sparrow’s Nest Thrift Store Locations (Cary, Algonquin, McHenry, Woodstock, Palatine, Mundelein, and Third Lake), Community Threads Resale Store in Arlington Heights, Northwestern Medicine Health & Fitness Centers in Crystal Lake and Huntley, Star 105.5 Radio Station in Crystal Lake, Taylor Stevens Salon & Spa at Algonquin Commons, and Black Orchid Boutique in McHenry.
