An anonymous texting service for McHenry County teens has been launched. The 24

hour hotline connects middle and high school students with licensed, trained clinicians. Initially, texts

will be handled through the Child, Adolescent and Family Recovery Center in Hoffman Estates. Within

the next 6-12 months, the service will be transitioned to the McHenry County Crisis Line. The app is

designed to connect teens anonymously with resources for mental health, substance abuse, difficult

family situations or bullying.
