Home of the Sparrow is pleased to announce it has signed a lease for a new store location at 34500 N. US Hwy 45 (Waterstone Place Shopping Center) in the Village of Third Lake. The new location is currently being renovated with an estimated opening scheduled for early May of 2017. Home of the Sparrow has been operating thrift stores since the early 1990’s and currently has six thrift stores and donation centers located in Algonquin, Cary, McHenry, Mundelein, Palatine and Woodstock. The Sparrow’s Nests’ purpose are to support the mission of Home of the Sparrow, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides housing and supportive services to homeless women and children in Northern Illinois. 100% of the net proceeds from the store directly support the clients in Home of the Sparrow programs. The Sparrow’s Nests are also a zero cost provider of clothing, furniture and housewares to Home of the Sparrow clients and clients of other neighboring agencies in Northern Illinois.
