Fall Diddley Help Sign Up Today!!!

Fall is just around the corner, and volunteers are needed for the 32nd Annual Fall Diddley Craft Show 2018 at the Boone County Fair Grounds, Belvidere, Illinois on Saturday, October 13th from 9 am – 5 pm and Sunday, October 14th from 9 am – 4 pm.

Please help Home of the Sparrow by volunteering at this event!  The more we have the better.  Invite your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to all sign up to help!

Fall Diddley is a wonderful arts and crafts show featuring over 300 skilled artisans and crafters, as well as food vendors.  This annual event is sponsored by the Mental Health Resource League (MHRL), and the funds raised provide financial aid to mental health related agencies in McHenry County, including Home of the Sparrow.  You can help Home of the Sparrow by signing up to volunteer. The more volunteers we have the better, which helps keep us in the running for the MHRL Grant Funding.

Volunteer shifts are available throughout the day, and volunteers help in various areas including check-in, bakery sales, raffle ticket sales, shopping bag sales, plant sales, publicity and traffic control.  Also, as a volunteer, you get free entrance into the fair the rest of the day of your shift!

As in the past, MHRL asks that you be responsible for any substitutions once your volunteer shift has been assigned, which means finding a replacement if you cannot make your assigned time.

Also, please wear appropriate and comfortable footwear and clothing, so you are prepared for the weather, and for standing and walking a lot. You may want to put extra clothing in your car, so you can change should the need arise.

Thank you for supporting Home of the Sparrow!  Please let me know if you have any questions!  Help us round up as many volunteers as possible to help Home of the Sparrow!  Ask family, neighbors, and friends.
