Happy National Volunteer Appreciation Week! Thank you to all of Home of the Sparrow’s Volunteers!
Home of the Sparrow would like to thank our amazing volunteers during #NationalVolunteerAppreciationWeek! Our volunteers are the heart of our organization and help make Home of the Sparrow what it is today. Thank you for helping us change the lives of homeless women and children in McHenry County and Northern Illinois through your service, time, and commitment! You are making a positive impact in our community!

Home of the Sparrow has 750+ active individual volunteers and over 200 group volunteers through different local organizations, businesses, and schools. Combined, volunteers gave over 75,000+ of their time this past fiscal year of 2020. Some of the areas volunteers help with include our thrift stores, at our Headquarters providing administrative help, within committees such as our Board of Directors and Event Committees, events, speaking engagements through our Ambassador Program, and various group projects such as yard work and painting at our housing units.
Thank you all for giving your time and talents to help Home of the Sparrow support homeless women and children through various housing and supportive programs and services! It is with all of your help, Home of the Sparrow is able to directly serve over 500+ individuals, and impact over 2,000+ individuals every year.
