Location: Community Threads Thrift Store in Arlington Hts., IL
Home of the Sparrow’s Community Threads thrift store is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations. Our stores fund programs that provide shelter, resources, and hope to homeless women and children.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Store Manager:
- Deliver excellent customer and donor service
- Supervise staff and volunteers in the Store Manager’s absence
- Assist with opening/closing, merchandising, donations, and inventory
- Manage sales transactions, deposits, and reporting
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or higher
- Retail and supervisory experience required
- Strong communication and basic computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work varied hours
Schedule & Pay:
- Must be available for flexible hours, 9–5 or 10–6, Monday through Saturday (days/times will vary; closed Sundays)
- Pay range: $18–$21 per hour
