Job Title: Housing Coordinator
Location: Headquarters – McHenry County, IL
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Hours: 8:30-4:30 (M-F) *Occasional evening or weekend to meet client needs
Join Home of the Sparrow, a mission-driven nonprofit supporting women and children facing homelessness. We’re hiring a dedicated Housing Coordinator to provide case management and help clients find and maintain stable housing.
Key Responsibilities of the Housing Coordinator:
- Provide case management and support services to housing clients
- Assist clients in locating, securing, and moving into rental housing
- Build and maintain relationships with landlords and community partners
- Help clients with budgeting, employment assistance, and life skills
- Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized service plans
- Maintain accurate client records and complete required documentation
- Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, lease reviews, and provide aftercare as needed
Qualifications of the Housing Coordinator:
- Bachelor’s in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- OR bachelor’s in unrelated field + 2 years supervised social services experience
- OR master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field
- Experience with high-barrier populations preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to transport clients using a company vehicle

Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
