Urgent Help Needed!

These are unprecedented times. Non-Profits survive with event fundraising, donor support and grant funding to support their mission. Already, many agencies have reached into their reserves to keep their doors open and continue to provide essential services to those in need. Some agencies are reducing capacity in order to implement federal guidelines of social distancing; others, including Home of the Sparrow, are soliciting donations to address the immediate and long-term implications of the pandemic.

This week Home of the Sparrow postponed all our events, closed down all eight Thrift Store locations and laid off staff; only limited essential service staff remains.

WE NEED YOUR HELP to keep our doors open, to help the women and children of Home of the Sparrow and those who may need our services during this time. We are asking for donations and we are asking that you please forward on this request, share on social media, and ask others to share as well!

Other URGENT ACTIONS NEEDED: We are asking you to call your representatives and senators TODAY to urge them to address the housing and health needs of America’s lowest-income renters and people experiencing homelessness, who are at the greatest risk. We urge you to ask your legislators to provide critical resources to help households and agencies that are impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, and to ensure additional funding is included in the emergency bills to help agencies and individuals most in need!
