Job Title: Store Shift Supervisor – Cary Nest Thrift Store
Location: Cary, IL
Hours: 24 hours/week
The Shift Supervisor position requires availability during store hours:
– Monday–Friday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
– Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
– Sunday: Closed
The selected candidate will be expected to work every other Saturday and assist with opening and closing store operations as needed.
Join our Cary Nest retail team! We’re seeking a Store Shift Supervisor to oversee daily store operations, coach team members, and ensure an exceptional shopping experience while supporting our nonprofit mission.

Core Responsibilities of the Store Shift Supervisor:
– Provide outstanding customer and donor service, creating a welcoming shopping experience.
– Lead and support staff and volunteers throughout each shift.
– Open and/or close the store while ensuring safe and efficient daily operations.
– Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor and work areas.
– Assist with merchandising, stocking, and processing incoming donations.
– Accurately complete sales transactions, prepare deposits, and maintain daily records.
– Communicate effectively with store leadership and team members to support daily operations.
– Take on additional duties and special projects as assigned.
We’re Looking for Someone Who Has:
– Previous supervisory or team leadership experience; retail experience preferred.
– Excellent communication and customer service skills.
– Basic computer proficiency.
– A high school diploma or GED.
– The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet throughout the shift.
Physical Demands:
– Frequent balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching
– Ability to safely move or handle merchandise up to 50 pounds
– Extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking are required
