Job Title: Stockroom Receiving Clerk (Part-Time)
Location: Community Threads Thrift Store – Arlington Heights, IL
Hours: 15 hours/week (Wed, Fri, Sat | 12 PM – 5 PM)
Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
Join our team at Community Threads, part of Home of the Sparrow. We’re hiring a reliable Stockroom Receiving Clerk for a permanent, part-time position. Help process donations, organize the stockroom, and support our mission to empower homeless women and children.

Key Responsibilities of the Stockroom Clerk:
- Receive, sort, and organize donations
- Maintain a clean and safe stockroom
- Restock and assist with inventory
- Support and guide volunteers
- Provide excellent donor and customer service
Qualifications of the Stockroom Clerk:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Stockroom or retail experience preferred
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Basic computer skills
Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting.
- Must be able to move and handle merchandise up to 50 pounds safely.
- Prolonged periods of standing and physical activity are required.
Store Hours
- Monday–Friday: 10 AM – 6 PM
- Saturday: 10 AM – 5 PM
- Closed on Sundays
